Specialized Programs
New and Used Car Lemon Law Arbitration
In cooperation with the New York State Dispute Resolution Association, Inc. (NYSDRA), and the New York Sate Department of Law, consumers who have filed complaints regarding new and/or used cars may have their complaints arbitrated at your local mediation center. (Common Ground in Greene and Columbia Counties)
Special Education Mediation
As part of their due process rights, all school districts must offer special education mediation to parents with children of special needs as a means to resolve issues regarding the identification, evaluation, educational placement or the provision of a free appropriate public education. This program is offered in cooperation with
NYSDRA and the New York State Department of Education.
Manufactured Home Dispute Mediation
Tenants at Manufactured Home Parks may mediate disputes with their landlord regarding habitability issues at Common Ground. This program is offered in cooperation with
NYSDRA and the New York State Department of Housing and Community Renewal.
Early Intervention Mediation
Parents of infants and toddlers with development delays or disabilities, who disagree with the determination of an evaluator or Early Intervention official may request mediation to resolve their dispute. This program is offered in cooperation with
NYSDRA and the New York State Department of Health.
Vocational Rehabilitation Mediation
is designed to assist vocational rehabilitation program participants in having additional options to resolve disputes or improve communication issues.
